Day #7 of solo parenting:
Carol returns today!
Lightning Bug and I discussed this happily this morning until things took a turn.
Me: Is Mommy going to be glad to see us?
Bug: Yeah.
Me: Is she going to hug us?
Bug: Yeah.
Me: Is she going to give us a kiss?
Bug: Yeah.
Me: She’s going to say, “I want to see my family!”
Bug: Yeah.
Me: What are you going to say to her?
Bug: I might say “I don’t want kiss. Make me food.”
(pause)
Me: That’s the first thing you’re going to say to her?
Bug: Yeah.
Me: You’re going to say “Daddy didn’t feed me the whole time you were gone”?
Bug: Yeah.
I could be in trouble.
