The Opportunity
We are seeking a School Manager with a degree in Early Childhood Education and administrative experience to facilitate and support our early childhood education program. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality classroom experiences, supporting teachers, maintaining compliance with licensing and funding sources, and maintaining alignment with the Hanna Perkins approach. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, reflective environment, is passionate about supporting both children and those who care for them and wants to learn the Hanna Perkins’ approach toward understanding and helping children and their parents.
What You’ll Do
1. School Operations & Program Coordination
- Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, staffing coordination, and classroom coverage as needed
- Manage intake processes, including initial inquiries, tours, and admissions coordination in coordination with the consulting therapist
- Coordinate across school, clinic, and administrative teams to ensure continuity in the settling in process and throughout the year
- Coordinate Monthly parent group and partner to support on engagement activities
2. Compliance, Licensing & Administrative Oversight
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing, SUTQ, UPK, and funding requirements (attendance, lesson planning, assessments, etc.)
- Maintain and renew provider status for autism and John Peterson scholarships and submit required information for each student on this scholarship.
- Maintain accurate documentation for student records, staff files, and regulatory needs
- Coordinate reporting, audits, and site visits with the Facilities Manager
- Oversee the development of the school budget, tuition invoicing, scholarships, and tracking of program-related funds
3. Teacher Supervision, Coaching & Program Quality
- Provide direct supervision and ongoing coaching/support to classroom teachers to ensure high quality in early childhood best practices, curriculum, and assessment practices
- Observe classrooms and provide reflective, relationship-based feedback on early childhood best practices
- Support teachers in addressing classroom challenges, including behavior and group dynamics
- Develop and implement a training plan for the classroom and individual professional developments plans and monitor performance.
4. Hanna Perkins Approach & Professional Learning
- Actively engage in and model the Hanna Perkins approach toward understanding children
- Participate in internal training, including the apprentice training program, school seminars, teacher/therapist conferences and reflective meetings
- Support teachers in integrating the approach into daily classroom practice
- Collaborate with clinical and training staff to strengthen alignment
5. Organizational Leadership & Integration
- Participate in administrative team meetings and strategic planning
- Provide updates on enrollment, operations, staffing, and program needs
- Support alignment across school, clinic, and training functions to reduce silos
