The Hanna Perkins Grandmothers, authors of “Timeless Advice for Parents of Young Children,” will be at will be at Appletree Books in Cleveland Heights for a reception and book signing from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21.
Published by Hanna Perkins Center, the book offers insight for understanding a young child’s behavior and how to respond effectively in dozens of situations – from tantrums and picky eating to meeting the new baby and starting school.
Children don’t come with an instruction manual, but this book is about as close as you can get. Written by a group of wise early-childhood development experts, it’s an easy-to-read behavioral guide to what’s going on in your young child’s mind in almost any situation – from public tantrums to noticing people with disabilities to preparing for the first day of preschool. Whether you read it cover to cover, or reach for it when the going gets tough, it will help bring out that loving, nurturing, patient and resourceful parent that lives in all of us.
The event is free and open to the public.
Appletree Books is located at 12419 Cedar Road in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Wine and cheese will be served.
