Promoting Positive Social-Emotional Development in Young Children During Parents’ Divorce & Separation

Participants will understand the effects of separation and divorce on the early developmental years. Discussion will focus on how to help the child understand what is happening and promote the child’s social emotional stability by encouraging the child to talk about their feelings. Participants are responsible for a group presentation at the end of the class, and should be prepared with their own scenario, or can request a scenario from the instructor.

This program is approved by the State of Ohio and is aligned with Ohio’s Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) standards.
