An open discussion with licensed child therapists about child development – appropriate for classroom staff, early childhood mental health providers, staff working with children with special needs, program administrators, social workers, families and caregivers, and others who work with children. Participants will learn how to handle difficult situations in the classroom and other environments by understanding child development and behaviors. Include understanding that challenging behavior has environmental and developmental sources, and how to use this information to modify environment, activities and expectations.

Provides 1-2 Ohio Approved hours and/or social work CEUs.

Ohio Approved Hours: This program is approved by the State of Ohio and is aligned with Ohio’s Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) standards.
