A group of four early childhood educators meet for ongoing sessions with an experienced child therapist to discuss the emotional development of children from 0 to 7 years with a view to understanding the challenges children face at each developmental level, how they master them, what interferes with mastery, and what the ramifications are when they resort to maladaptive coping mechanisms. Participants will discuss pertinent articles and chapters from books about child development and apply the concepts addressed to their observations of children in their own classrooms.
