Specialized preschools help children build a healthy sense of self

Programs and activities catered to children allow them to learn and absorb the knowledge in a better way.

According to Lori Kowit, director of early childhood education at The Temple-Tifereth Israel’s Ganon Gil Preschool in Beachwood; Karen Heitlinger, chair of the Center for Early Childhood at The Music Settlement in Cleveland; and Barbara Streeter, education and therapy director at Hanna Perkins School in Shaker Heights, individualized schooling works wonders.
