Symposium Forum 2005 At last spring’s annual Hanna Perkins Symposium/Forum, colleagues from around the country joined us in the weekend-long conference that featured Jack and Kerry Kelly Novick who presented the John A. Hadden, Jr., M.D. Lecture.
At our annual banquet Dr. John Kennell was honored as the recipient of the Eleanor M. Hosley Memorial Award for his decades of work on behalf of mothers and newborns. Particularly noted were his contributions to promoting parents rooming-in with their hospitalized children and his leadership in the international “Doula” movement to support mothers during labor and delivery. Our Inside Helper award went to two deserving individuals. Ms. Elisabeth Daunton, to whom Volume 16 of our Journal was dedicated, was honored for her half-century of devoted service to Hanna Perkins. Mr. Zachary Paris was honored as he completed his four-year tenure as President of the Hanna Perkins Board of Trustees and thanked for his leadership in the planning and accomplishment of our move to Malvern.
