Our Mission*

The essence of the Hanna Perkins camp experience is to help children achieve a sense of mastery in the given tasks.  This is accomplished by planning hands-on activities that promote independent thinking & problem solving skills.   There are opportunities for children to work independently as well as with peers.  Early Childhood Educators plan fun, structured experiences that help children develop life long curiosity, pleasure in learning and an inner sense of accomplishment.  All of our camps include photo-journaling to help the children document their experience.

*Preparation is an important part of our philosophy in working with young children and students. Considering this, we ask that one parent attend a mandatory ˝ hour orientation with their child if the child has never attended summer camp at Hanna Perkins Center. During this visit, the parent and child will view the facility and receive information abut the camp program and meet the camp director.   At this orientation we ask that you return all completed paper work, which is required for entrance into the camp program.  Time and date to be determined.  You will be notified.  Thank You.
