Reinberger Parent/Child Resource Center What is the Parent/Child Resource Center? Housed within the Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development, the Reinberger Parent-Child Resource Center is a facility where parents and caregivers participate with their children in dramatic play, puzzles, a collection of toys and books; and hands-on activities including science, gardening and art and craft projects.
The purpose of the center is to provide
an environment where parents and caregivers can play with their children and
encourage mastery of developmentally appropriate skills.
During that year an average of 20 children and their parents visited each week during "drop-in" hours with many families making visiting a regular, weekly occasion. Nearly 100 children attended the variety of classes offered from October through July. These classes included Art, Music, Books by Me, Woodworking, and Gardening.
