Internships, Post-Doctoral Fellowship, & Field Placements in Psychology & Social Work The Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development offers the unique opportunity to complete an internship in psychoanalytic child psychology, social work, or a year of supervised postdoctoral training in psychoanalytic child psychology. The program extends over 12 months, beginning each August.
Each field placement student, intern, or fellow receives extensive clinical supervision, as much as one hour for each hour of clinical contact. In addition to clinical work with children and parents, the experience includes observation in the Hanna Perkins School, attendance at selected clinical case conferences, and group meetings to discuss various aspects of psychoanalytic theory and its applications.
