In early 2007, a group of parents, friends and neighbors came together with the idea of forming a group to promote the activities and goals of the Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development. Today, the group has several members including past parents, neighbors, trustees of the Hanna Perkins Center, former teachers, and staff. Friends-sponsored events include an Annual Winter Garden Party honoring supporters of the Center; lectures for the community and topics related to children, teens and parenting; and volunteer support of school functions.
