Barbara U. Streeter, M.S., LPCC
Barbara Streeter
has been the Associate Director
of the Hanna Perkins Center Extension
Division since 1989 and the Therapy
Director of the
Hanna Perkins School since 1997. She is a
member of the Center’s training Faculty and
an instructor and consultant to early
childhood programs in the Greater Cleveland
community and throughout the country.
Ms. Streeter is a member of the Association
for Child Psychoanalysis (ACP), the Ohio
Counselors Association, and the National
Association for the Education of Young
Children. She is a past president of the
Cleveland Psychoanalytic Society (CPS) and a
past Board Member of the Cleveland
Psychoanalytic Center. She has served as
editor of newsletters of the ACP and CPS and
as managing editor of the Hanna Perkins
Journal, Child Analysis. She helped
develop and implement the national
HPC/TRW
Early Childhood Intervention Alliance, a ten
year program funded by the TRW Foundation.
Ms. Streeter is a graduate of Brown
University and holds a Masters in Special
Education from the Bank Street College of
Education. She qualified as a Child
Psychoanalyst through the
Hanna
Perkins
Center.
Early in her career she served as Head
Teacher in the Hanna Perkins Kindergarten.
