Fees for the Hadden Clinic for Children & Families
The hourly fee for services at the Hadden Clinic for Children and Families at the Hanna Perkins Center is $100 per clinical hour. Most families use their health insurance to pay for a portion of the fee. Unfortunately, due to the reality of managed care, we note that most insurance companies set limits to the number of sessions per calendar year, meaning that parents have to pay the remainder of the bill. We encourage parents to inquire directly with their insurance companies regarding the parameters of their coverage and related procedures. As part of the initial paperwork, parents can provide our staff with insurance information and our Business Office will begin the billing process.
Scholarship Assistance Program For parents who are not able to afford the remainder of the standard fee for services, we are able to offer a Scholarship Assistance Program. Through this program, a monthly fee for services can be set in accordance with the family’s income and household size. A copy of this fee schedule is available upon request. To help clarify this program, we have provided below some sample fee calculations. Gross Income: $30,000 Gross Income: $45,000 Family Size: 3 individuals Family Size: 5 individuals Monthly Fee: $87.50 Monthly Fee: $168.75
By offering a monthly fee, instead of a per session fee, a child can be seen as often as clinically indicated without financial barriers. This monthly fee will be revisited with parents on an annual basis, or at times when there are changes in a family’s circumstances. Parents are reminded that the balance remaining after insurance and family fee payments is covered by a Scholarship Fund established by generous donors to Hanna Perkins. As an agency we remain grateful to these donors, whose contributions provide for thousands of hours of treatment services each year. Some parents find that after the conclusion of their child’s treatment, as their financial circumstances allow, they wish to repay some or all of the scholarship they received. When this can be done it is greatly appreciated, as it enables the continuation of the scholarship program for other qualifying children and families.
